I've been a memberof this club for two years and I became treasure this year. National Spanish Honors Society are for students that are enrolled in an AP Spanish course or Spanish 3. This club gives their members oppertunities for community service thoughtout the year, too. Key Club
Key Club is an organiztion that focuses on community service. I've been a member for three years and from that I've been president for two years. I try to organize any oppertunities for communty serivce for students. We have collected donations for UNICEF, served for the pancake breakfast, and for santa night; these are just a few services we've done. |
Prom Committee
I was part of prom committee my junior year. During junior year my classmates and I organized our schools prom. It was super fun but at the same time stressful but with the help of everyone it was possible. The whole year of planning prom was worth it because we saw everyone having fun and especially looking at the final product of the decorations. All in all it was fun. ASB
I am involved in Associated Student Body(ASB), this club has taught me how important it is to be part of because we make the whole school come together at pep rallies and school events we organize. ASB has given me the opportunity to reach out to students by bettering the school and raise school spirit. It was taught me leadership and communication skills i didn't have before i joined ASB or any of these extracurricular activities. I joined leadership this year and it is by far my favorite class. |
AVID
I’ve been a part of AVID for four years now and it has been preparing all of my classmates and I for college.AVID challanges us to take rigous courses throughout our high school career. We had the opportunity to visit UC, CSU, and private colleges. AVID has been helpful for me because it pushes us to better our self’s and strive for more. Adventure Club
This club is designed for student who want to step out of their comfort zone and try new things. We take trips to china peak to snow board or go out camping in Pismo Beach. All though I haven't been able to attend these trips I heard they were super fun. |
FBLA
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is another club I joined because it is a career interest of mine. It gave me background information on the several types of businesses there are in the business world. It has helped me decide what I want to major in AG business or accounting. TRiO
TRiO upper bound is a program for low income students that are planning to attend college. This program provides services like tutoring, and opportunities for community service. Being a part of TRiO has opened so many doors for me like taking trips to different universities across California. This past summer I had to chance to enroll in English 1 class at COS. |
Volunteer Hours
My AVID class and I helped the city of Lindsay plant trees in our local city park for earth day. Taking care of our environment is really important and by planting trees made us feel like we all made a difference to better our environment.

FBLA donates food and toys to ten low income families that can’t afford to buy a Christmas dinner for the whole family. All of FBLA members donated perishable food throughout three weeks and so much food was collected. Last year I went with them to deliver their huge gift and seeing their faces light up is just a huge reward and makes you really appreciate what you have. For the past two years I also have adopted a star to a student who may or may not get gifts for Christmas. Being able to give is such a great feeling and making someone else holidays better is rewarding.
